[ACCI-CAVIE] Approximately sixty representatives from evangelical churches in Côte d’Ivoire took part in an intensive training session led by Dr. Guy Gweth, President of the African Centre for Competitive Intelligence (ACCI), on the 18th and 19th of November 2024 in Abidjan. Organized with the support of entrepreneur Salomon N’Dri and Pastor Silue, Executive Secretary of the Federation of Evangelical Churches of Côte d’Ivoire (FECI), this session aimed to equip participants with essential tools to better understand the geopolitical, economic, and social challenges of our time and influence public decision-making.
Over the course of two days, religious leaders received in-depth training on intricate topics such as African geopolitics, strategic intelligence, risk management, crisis communication, and shaping public policy. Dr. Guy Gweth, renowned for his expertise in these areas, managed to captivate his audience by providing a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities that African societies in general, and Ivorian society in particular, are facing.
An Essential Training to Better Serve the Church and Society
Participants highly valued the relevance of the teachings and the pedagogical approach adopted by the instructor. As highlighted by Pastor Koffi Kouakou Ciprien, “this opportunity equips the church to have a different perspective for the spreading of the gospel.”
Reverend Pastor Guissi also expressed his gratitude, stating, “We have been enriched by the insights you shared. Thanks to DG N’Dri and SG Silue for the initiative.”
An Initiative Applauded by All
The support of Salomon N’Dri and Reverend Pastor Silue was unanimously praised by the participants. As emphasized by Roger Gbelia, “I thank DG Salomon N’Dri who provided all the necessary resources for the organization of these sessions.”
The Secretary-General of UNEBAMCI, Pastor Ciprien Kokou Kouakou, also expressed gratitude to the organizers for “graciously inviting us to this important seminar.”
Key Skills for the Future
This training enabled religious leaders in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to acquire key skills to better serve their communities and engage in public discourse as the upcoming electoral deadlines approach. As explained by Kouadio Kouassi Nathanael, “this training, which enlightens us on the management of the world and its resources, will allow us to provide balanced teachings and better guide our prayers and decisions.”
By providing this high-level training to religious leaders, the ACCI contributes to strengthening the role of the Church in society and promoting constructive dialogue among the various components of the Ivorian nation. For Dr. Guy Gweth, President of the ACCI and designer of this innovative project, “this initiative is a concrete example of how competitive and strategic intelligence can be leveraged to serve a noble cause.”
