[ACCI–CAVIE] September 2025 opened with a milestone event for Cameroonian women entrepreneurs: the “Bridging Event” of the IYBA WE4A project, organised by the GIZ with the support of the European Union (EU), the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and with the backing of the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts of Cameroon (MINPMEESA).

This strategic mission was entrusted to the African Centre for Competitive Intelligence (ACCI), whose experts delivered an exemplary performance, combining rigour, professionalism, and tangible results.

ACCI’s Expertise at the Service of Performance

GIZ, a globally recognised development agency, entrusted the ACCI with a mission that went well beyond facilitation. The task was to design and deliver a bilingual event tailored to a diverse audience: women entrepreneurs—most of them at the start-up stage—alongside diplomatic figures and key players from the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The success of the day rested on the ACCI’s methodical and rigorous approach, delivered in three distinct phases:

  • Project familiarisation and detailed planning: Long before the event, the ACCI’s experts immersed themselves in the IYBA WE4A project documentation to fully grasp its scope. They then developed a tailored moderation plan, aligned with key programme priorities and national policies.
  • Moderation of the “Bridging Event”: On 11 September, the expert duo delivered a seamless, bilingual (French and English) facilitation, managing time and transitions with surgical precision. Their ability to engage with a wide range of participants kept the momentum alive throughout the day.
  • Evaluation and reporting: The mission did not end when the event closed. The ACCI is expected to deliver a comprehensive activity report, including an in-depth analysis of results, success factors, and recommendations. This deliverable is essential for knowledge capitalisation and the success of future initiatives.

A Collaboration that Makes Sense

The partnership between GIZ and the ACCI is built on complementarity. GIZ contributes its experience in large-scale development projects, while the ACCI, as an African institution specialising in competitive intelligence for African markets, brings local expertise and a nuanced understanding of the challenges facing entrepreneurship on the continent.

By choosing the ACCI, GIZ was not simply selecting moderators of international calibre. It was engaging consultants capable of mastering the complexity of the project, crafting an adapted communication strategy, and delivering a high-level performance. This partnership, founded on trust and rigour, paves the way for future collaborations in strengthening Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
