Competitive intelligence and market conquest strategies for the AfCFTA
The single African market: an unprecedented mutation
The operational entry into force of the African Continental Free Trade Area represents a major structural mutation for the continent's economic fabric. With a single market of over 1.3 billion consumers and a combined GDP exceeding $3.4 trillion, the AfCFTA opens unprecedented prospects for African companies.

The challenges for African SMEs and SMIs
Four structural challenges companies must address to take advantage of the AfCFTA.
Increased competition
The opening of markets exposes SMEs to more intense continental competition. Only companies with a solid commercial strategy will be able to position themselves sustainably.
Regulatory compliance
Rules of origin, customs standards, and the OHADA legal framework require companies to strictly master the cross-border regulatory environment.
Access to financing
Foreign trade financing remains one of the main obstacles for African SMEs. Mastering financial instruments has become essential.
Digital transformation
The digitalization of commercial processes and the adoption of artificial intelligence are essential levers of competitiveness that few SMEs fully exploit yet.
