Becoming an intern
If you aspire to pursue a career in competitive and strategic intelligence within African sectors or alongside African players, an internship at the ACCI is the ideal stepping stone.
During your internship at the ACCI, you will gain first-hand exposure to the intricacies of the African business landscape, providing you with a unique opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals in the field of African competitive intelligence. This experience will allow you to access high-profile conferences, actively participate in meetings, surveys, analytical work, and strategic intelligence matters pertaining to Africa. While your initial responsibilities may be limited to tasks you can perform, it will be your responsibility to nurture and exhibit your untapped potential.
To be eligible for an internship at the ACCI, certain training and experience criteria are required:
- Final year of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or postgraduate degree, preferably specializing in fields such as competitive intelligence, political science, communication/public relations, digital marketing, social media, or marketing.
- Proficiency in IT and web tools is essential.
- Mastery of communication via social networks is crucial.
- Fluency in both French and English is a requirement; knowledge in Spanish is considered an advantage.

Duration: Internships last from two to six months. Once you have been selected, you must begin your internship either before you graduate or within a year of graduating.
Expenses: Internships at the ACCI are not remunerated. All expenses (travel, insurance, internet connection) are borne by the intern.
Medical insurance: In the event of accident or illness during the internship, medical expenses are borne by the intern, who must provide proof of valid medical coverage.
Confidentiality: interns are required to exercise discretion, to respect the confidential nature of any unpublished information to which they have access during their internship and not to disclose any related documents.
Specific requirements for remote internships
- Strong capacity to work autonomously, rigorously, take initiative and assume responsibility.
- Ability to work alone and in a virtual professional environment.
- Constant access to high-speed connection is essential. A poor or low-speed Internet connection is not suitable for the successful running of the internship.
- You must own your own computer and have a sound knowledge of basic IT tools and the Internet.
- Regular contact with the team by email, telephone and video calls.
- Flexible working hours, provided you are methodical, organised and motivated. It is particularly important to keep to your timetable.
